Trackback Issue Resolved – One Week Later

Here is TypePad Customer Service’s description of the solution:

“Hi David,

When you create a post that you'll be sending a TrackBack

from, are you including a link to the other blog in the

body of the post? Or are you just sending a TrackBack to

another blog? Can you give us an example of a post you sent

a TrackBack from, as well as the post the TrackBack is to?

As part of our efforts to reduce TrackBack spam, you'll now

need to include a link in your post to the post that you

will be sending the TrackBack to.

Please let us know if you continue to experience problems

    even when doing this.

    Thanks,

    Laura”

What a joke. They really don’t get it.

I will be switching to another service in the upcoming months.

I'm glad someone has been on their case; it's ridiculous how this STILL hasn't been resolved! I'll be sending them email (in vain, I'm sure) today as well. I don't use Typepad, but it's frustrating as hell not being able to send trackbacks to Typepad users!
They've already lost at least two bloggers that I know to WordPress recently. You'd think that would matter to them.
